Here are some pictures of what a normal mole looks like and what a cancerous mole will look like. Most moles on dogs are normal but just like us humans its always safe to check with a doctor to be on the safe side. Here are the ABCDEs of what to look for.

A – ASYMMETRY: When one half of the mole does not match the other half.
B – BORDER: When the border or edges of the mole are ragged, blurred, or irregular.
C – COLOR: When the mole has different colors or it has shades of tan, brown, black, blue, white, or red.
 D – DIAMETER: When the diameter of the mole is larger than a pencil’s eraser.
E – EVOLVING: When the mole appears different from others and/or changing in size, color, or shape.
